Gole del Salinello (Salinello Gorges)

The Salinello Gorges are a wild and captivating canyon with sheer cliffs and extraordinarily beautiful views. Rich in natural features, they also hold significant historical and cultural treasures, such as numerous hermitages and the ruins of Castel Manfrino, and are crisscrossed by an extensive network of trails.

Along the main path that follows the stream, two climbing sectors have been established in recent years.

Giardino di Pietra

The first sector, "Giardino di Pietra" (Stone Garden), is gaining popularity. Its main advantage is being almost entirely in the shade throughout the day, and thanks to the presence of the river (when not dry!), it offers a refreshing respite on the hottest days. Here, some very interesting new pitches have been established on the right side, along with a difficult route in the most overhanging section.

Gola Profonda

The second sector, "Gola Profonda" (Deep Gorge), is located on the right (East) side, just before a characteristic narrowing of the gorges. This area is less frequented due to the long approach, the greater difficulty of its pitches, and its exposure, which makes it less suitable for warmer months.

The space at the base of both sectors is very comfortable. However, please be aware of falling rocks, which are probable at this crag due to the imperfect rock. Therefore, in addition to wearing a helmet, we recommend ensuring no one stands directly below climbers.

Due to several reports of car thefts in this and other areas, it is strongly advised not to leave valuables visible inside your vehicle, especially on less crowded days!
