On Sunday, April 12, 2026, Guadagnolo gathered to remember its Memmo.
Family members, students, friends - and I among them - came together beneath the walls of the crag and placed a memoria plaque in his honor, right next to the route Pier e Matt, wich he dedicated to his children.
When the words on the plaque were revealed, a quiet wave of emotion passed through all of us:
MEMMO: wherever you are, keep moving with feather-light steps, with the smile that endures and a deep joy. One more pitch - and then another, and another..
Memmo, you are still with us, in the routes you left behind. You are part of the landscape of Guadagnolo, and part of our hearts as well.

Kind, ironic, never ordinary. With endless courage, deep in feeling and light in spirit. It was a privilege to have known you. We will take care of everything you left us.
This, more or less, is what we were all feeling.
And then, just as he would have wanted, we set the table and shared a drink in his honor, softening the emotion with a smile.
Because, as you always said, a good smile should never be missing.
